This is fantastic and lovely. It's like The Wire s4, only happier and more homoerotic. Like all good AUs it makes me want to read more, see what happens next.

I never made it to S4 of the Wire, but I guess Ed Burns would know what he's talking about ;) As for Nate and Brad in the future of this 'verse, they live happily ever after, of course, and some of Nate's students even score "proficient" on their standardized tests.

I know I'm super late, but I thoroughly enjoyed this. What a fun AU, with spot-on voices.

Right, because he wants ALL of Brad's attention.

HA! Brad's sarcasm is perfection.

(You can buy anything at the Mathilda Wal-Mart, up to and including a last minute Thanksgiving dinner.) It’s in Nate’s fridge, right under the clear plastic box holding the corsage Brad had brought him the night before.

AHAHAHAHA! Of course Brad bought him a corsage; not mocking Nate is unthinkable.
