I love this story! The first "I love you" is always frightening. Especially when you have been burned, like Spencer, has been. I love the vulnerability in both of them. Aaron, being so patient, and waiting until Spencer was ready. The tenderness, and respect that each has for the other. Spencer finally admitting that he deserves to be happy. It just makes me all warm and gooey inside! This has become one of my "I've had a crappy day" fics! Thank you!

Aw, thank you for such a lovely comment. Yes, after all Reid had been through, it's only natural for him to be hesitant to let out his true feelings, to extend his heart out and put it out where he could easily get hurt. He's afraid of getting hurt, abandoned, and to me, Hotch understands that and respects Reid to take his time to figure things out.
