Words, words.

I really liked that writing meme that was going around, although I had to do three in a hurry so I expended what little creativity I still had. That's a ridiculous statement, because I've been writing original fiction for the first time in ages.

Oh, come on. I had so many story bits I wanted to post and no one else posted that meme...

When you hate Apple, what do you mean? What kind of computer do you have? *suspicious look*

And about Dumas--I checked out Iron Mask, but as it's the last in a collection, I'm hesitant to even read it. Did you read all the ones before it?

I shall look forward to reading anything you feel like allowing me to. :)

You can go ahead and post them, and I'll guess that it's you, but I don't know how difficult it would be.

I have a PC. It's a Dell, tragically, but I've customized it so much it's now only a Dell in its horrible, horrible case.

I only read The Three Musketeers and then it. Uh... I would read the ones before it, though. And I would read it in the larger volume it's originally a part of. By itself, it climaxes early and then never quite reaches that same height, and I think the form that I read it in hurt it a bit.

And I shall look forward to feedback!

Maybe I'll just open up caorannfbronach again sometime.

Whew. Apples are evil. What do you think about Gateway? That's my laptop, but I don't really get a choice there...

Thank you. I guess it'll remain on that other list for quite awhile then.

I don't give as good feedback as I once did. But I'll try.

Yes! Do that.

Gateway? As far as laptops go, they're fine. There isn't really a bad* laptop company. Toshiba, Asus, Gateway and Dell all produce good models.

Don't rush out to buy it, or anything, but the characters are great. Especially d'Artagnan.

Please do!

As a general rule, never buy anything made by HP or Compac

It was a fun meme. You should post it anyway! Because it forces me to write original stuff! ;)

Really? I've heard good things about Apple; what's the product and what kinds of trouble is it giving you?

Okay, umm, wherever you've been hearing good things about Apple from, I really have to question the credibility of that source. Apple is awful. I'm speaking from personal experience here, as well as from an extensive knowledge of computers. Apple markets almost excluisvely to the gullible moron segment, whom they overcharge. Their products are lousy, incompatible with 98% of the world (literally), overpriced, unupgradable, barely customizable and lacking in power, interface and function. The only people justified in using Apple are those who have no alternative.

That said, in this subject, I am one such person. It's a wireless router, and it's just about the only one available on the market that has a modem. The problem with it is that it's shoddy. I've had to replace it right out of the box, and since then I've had five separate compatability and interface problems that I've had to call tech support over. It's a lousy product from a worse company.

My source is my father. I usually trust him to know what he's talking about. Y'know, a degree in software engineering and x many years working with computers tends to give one credibility. I do not, however, know what his sources are, because (to my knowledge) we've never owned one. Though we have a router like the one you described (I think... that is, we have a wireless router, and I honestly don't know enough about it to know if it has a modem or not).

Ah. Well, I don't mean to offend, but honestly, I stick by what I said. My recent experiences with Apple have only served to reinforce what I already thought. Admittedly, they have some decent editing programs for sound, video etc., but it's not enough to redeem the fact that you can't upgrade their computers (which means you have to buy a new one every time your computer is obsolete), their higher prices and the lack of control their OS and system provides.
