I spent several hours in prison. Playing an inmate for the orientation video which will be shown to all incoming prisoners. I believe I am to whet their appetite for the bounty of fresh meat they will soon either find or be. It turns out I'm actually shooting the Geography Bee. I had been into helping run it, but getting put up in a hotel to walk around with a camera is much better. Whatever comes of this will be a tenth the running time of Word Wars and a twenty-fifth the quality of Spellbound. The Department of Geography is giving me a van and a hotel room to help run the statewide middle school Geography Bee. I'm not sure what they're thinking, but it's going to be the sweetest Thursday night anyone's ever spent in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. Today took fifteen hours to shoot a quarter of a film. Which is either very fast or very slow, depending on one's standards. It did bring a cameo from Frances and accusations of shining the spotlight a tad too bright on my little ham.
