One of the things I do with my on-line business is make postings to various e-groups on Yahoo. I'm a member of a few that I don't advertise on and am trying to network with others. I came across a posting that just about blew me out of the water

You shouldn't even think about trying what that woman does. You're such a better person than she is, or ever will be for that matter. That lady may laugh the whole way to the bank, but I'll never know how she sleeps with herself at night.

I wouldn't ever put myself into a position like that. I've seen/heard people do some low things, but this about takes the cake in my opinion. And to think, people such as my family and I are looked down upon by other when trying to seek assistance so that we can have food on the table, a warm place to lay our heads down at, and a roof over our heads to keep us dry.

I don't feel bad for anyone who gave money to that woman. Their idiots, all of them. As for being looked down on when seeking assistance, I feel ya. When my mom and I lived in Thunder Bay (Ontario), my mother was going to school full time, and couldn't work. She got a "mother's allowance" that didn't even come close to covering rent for the shit hole we lived in, and child support couldn't cover the bills. We used her student loans to get us through those years. Everytime I hear that Everclear lyric "never have the joy of a welfare xmas" or whatever, I can totally relate. I remember the big black trash bag of dollar store toys we used to get from the canadian's equivalent of welfare. I say, screw people who look down on OUR kind of people. Not all of us are crackmommas or crack babies, just cheatin the system to get money for drugs. Not all of us are just sucking other people's tax money for booze, and if people don't realize that, they can go to hell!
