Wintery hideaways!

So it's been a while since I've seen a post on here till today.  So I think I'm going to start posing some questions again now that we have over 100 visitors!

Best Vacation?

I ask because I'm yearning for something different and I'm curious to hear other people's ideas of a good vacation (imaginary or one you really had).

it's just a nice calm little town off of the atlantic ocean.
there wasn't that much tourist there and all the locals seemed to be pretty chill.

northern California via pacific coast highway, it's a long drive, but it always seems to put me in the greatest mood. I like to make a three-day seekend out of it, and make stops in santa barbara, san luis obispo/solvang, santa cruz/monterrey bay and san francisco/oakland/berkeley. I'm also a fan of amsterdam, though not for the obvious reasons.

I am planning on a cross country drive. Still in the early stages, but the general idea is to drive from SLO, CA to Wilmington, NC to visit my best friend... With a few stops along the way to visit other friends.

I am thinking I will rent a car to drive to NC and fly back to CA. It will end up costing less with gas, plus, I don't have to worry about having enough time to get back.

Hands down, the best vacation I've been on was a 10 day Mediterranean cruise.

The highlight was definitely Rome - save your pennies and visit Rome!
