So a lot of people tell me that I look like I belong to the bear community. I guess it's a good thing because I like how no one fits a cookie cutter image like in other communities. However as you can see in this picture I like to get in touch with my less masculine sometimes. I need answers...can I fit into this community?

I can't speak for this LJ community, but I identify as "drag cub". So, I'd like to think there's room for all sorts. Add to that the fact that, unless I'm mistaken, the bear community rose as an alternative to the judgementalism of having every queer look exactly the same; I always thought the point was everyone was welcome.

The only things we really all have in common here is that we're all GenXers, all fuzzy, and gay. It doesn't matter if you're super-butch or not.

Been there, seen that. It's all a bore and, frankly, a waste of energy and time. I used to have a lot of issues over my body size and weight, until one day I just said "fugg'it".

Being a cookie cutter image just got exhausting for me. I've never been the kind of guy who could fit into size 28 jeans, no matter how much I worked out or dieted. I've always had some kind of gut, despite working out. I refuse to shave anywhere on my body simply for cosmetic reasons (my face is the exception, although that's now merely trimmed, like other spots that shall go unnamed - and that's only because it's summer and sweat loves hair LOL!)
