The oldest survivor from the First World War (and I've just heard the world's oldest man) has died.
I saw the fly-over of the Lancaster bomber and spitfires in honour of his 112th birthday on 6th June 2008. I believe that was the day he credited his old age to cigarettes, whiskey and wild women!
