Good News (?) is that my toes are not broken. The rest of the news is that even if they were there is nothing to do for them because that's what you do, tape them and wait for the healing. Yeah, so there's that. My right foot is the one with the latest bone bruise from early in the Summer making the little toe painful and purple, then a couple ( Read more... )

I'm so sorry you're going through this. Foot pain is ridiculously PAINFUL!!

I don't have any broken digits, but last October through most of the winter I had gout. Lordy, I've had major abdominal and oral surgery and had never had such a painful condition. And the first medicine they gave me made it worse because it gave me explosive diarrhea. It's hard to get to the toilet when you can barely hobble around. So, I understand crying as you try to stay mobile.

I hope you're able to get the rest and healing you need.

OMG Gout is the WORST. Had it in ONE toe and SRSLY wished for death instead, my dad and brother had it in their knees and I can't even imagine. So yeah, you know exactly what I mean. May you never have it again, it is a terrible thing!

Thank you. I had it in both feet so bad that I couldn't wear shoes. My feet were swollen twice their normal size. They throbbed constantly. If I went out, I had to wear oversized slippers. I'll admit it was the worse pain I ever experienced. Right now I'm on a strict anti-gout diet, which is basically vegetarian with the exception of chicken. It's hard at Christmas because I'm not allowed sweets, either. But as long as it keeps the gout at bay, I can forego the cookies and cakes and all the other goodies.

I do hope your toes heal quickly and you're not in too much pain, especially during this time of the year.
