Our friends (un-named at this time) invited me over to extracate their chainsaw from the deathgrip of a tree. Funny, I always thought trees were afraid of chainsaws. Didn't know they ate them.

Been there, done that. Twice. I felt like an idiot.
Now, it appears that the tree originates on the property of a neighbor's. If that is the case, why wouldn't the guy simply hire a company to take the tree limb down and send the check to the neighbor?
Our friends son bought this house to fix it up and re-sell it. I didn't know you could make a neighbor pay for the removal of a branch that's on your property. Besides, he wanted to play with his new toy. It's his first chainsaw.
