While I may be fuzzy in the upper story in the morning, one of the first things that I think about is our new president and how happy I am that he's in the White House, as opposed to McCain, who would very likely have been Bush III. The lab is fairly full today, with a number of students making up for the last three days when the place was closed, but AJ, who was on duty, said he could handle matters so that HH and I could go over to the Community Commons Building and watch the inauguration on the big screen. We had more pornography yesterday, and unfortunately the assistant on duty didn't get a screen shot, but even so I was given the go-ahead to send the erring CU a letter letting him know he's banned until January 5. Frankly, I was disappointed that the hoped-for slicing-dicing-chopping-and-pureeing didn't materialize, and I was all but literally ready to puke every time that Palin woman came out with "Eye-Rak," "Eye-Ran," "nukuler" and "betcha," not to mention being offended by her condescending use of "Joe Sixpack," as if all the citizenry consist of people ( Read more... ) -
