Ok, so today I got to sleep in because if I worked my usual 9 hour shift at the office, I'd be in overtime by 5.5 hours, and customer service really has no reason for overtime.  So I'm going in at 12-12:30ish.

I woke up initially at 5:45 on my own this morning (guess my body is used to it), got Anthony up for his job, then went back to sleep.  Woke ( Read more... )

affected is correct

All politicians are tools, and my only hope for our future is a true revolution. But hey, the more gas prices increase (and seriously, a tax INCREASE on gas at record-high prices?? Wtf.) the sooner people might start to care. Well, I think people do care, but I also think there's credibility to the Big Oil-Big Auto conspiracy theory.

I didn't vote for anyone in KY's last election because I fucking hate Mongiardo, and cared very little for Beshear's casino platform. (Also I'm not registered in Lexington again and it would have required me to drive to Prestonsburg.) I would have voted third party but there was no third party. If there was a way to actively abstain (to differentiate distaste for both/all candidates from apathy) I would do it.

Okay, this comment got way too long and I moved it to my own LJ.

I actually decided a few weeks ago that I didn't want to vote for anyone (of the major parties persuasion, that is).

What the hell, I might vote for Nader.

ha.

I don't want to vote for Obama or Clinton because I don't support universal health care. After listening to some of McCain's speeches...well...he's a tool. Seriously. Sounds like a jack hammer. Same repetitive stuff over and over again.

yeah, i'd actually like to know why you don't support universal health care as well. but...hooray for the green party.

Yeah, it sucks. Fortunately, I can't blame anything on 'my' party, as I'm a libertarian (who doesn't associate with the Libertarian Party), and I haven't been able to for a while. It's not any better here in Wisconsin, either. The politicians just can't seem to get it through their heads that the worst thing you can do to a slowing economy is tax the people more.

There is no party of the people. Hell, the average American really has no say in Government. I think the electoral college is the dumbest piece of horse shit that ever existed ( ... )
