Regarding hookie...
I'm watching Mars Attacks and there's a scene in which a mother spots her children playing hookie from school while driving a city bus. She, naturally, stops and berates them. Tonight I found a puppy on the road. I named her Alice. She was a little white terrier, maybe around 4 years old. Color, no tags, dirty. I stopped the car to have a look at her and she licked my hand and peed on my shoes. I knew she loved me. I called out for her owner, but no one responded ( Read more... )
