  • Avoidance

So, I'm avoiding the whole Pulaski Tech scare and grading. I was trying to watch Work Out, but they are showing Crocadile Dundee right now instead of last week's episode. There is a new episode on at 9, but far be it from me to get anything done before it comes on.

What was our fascination with Aussies? How did it get started? This, Priscilla ( Read more... )

OK, so in a lovely moment, an Arkansas man is suing a library because his teen boys found a book on lesbian sex while they were looking for works on military acadamies. He wants the library to pay 10K per boy under Arkansas Obscenity Laws, as the book was in the stacks, not behind the desk, etc.

I found myself watching "First Comes Love" on Logo, then I found this "Engaged and Underaged" on MTV, which was oddly fascinating. The last episode I saw tonight had ( Read more... )

  • Stories from Customs

So, on the way to Canada, we had to go through Customs. We were greeted by a very dashing looking Customs lady who wanted to search our luggage. She did so, with help from her other lady Customs person. They were going through our clothes and asking the same questions in different ways (sort of like a border crossing Meyer's Briggs test). After ( Read more... )

  • JISC Info Available

    getmeout Apr 18, 2007 21:24

I've posted the link and basic information for the upcoming JISC conference. It costs about 100 USD, but I "went" last year and it was quite good. As online faculty, I think we are often more prone to isolation than we were on ground. I know that without Marcie and Jazzman out here with me that I'd feel much less a part of a larger virtual ( Read more... )
