Slept all day sunday. And then all night. I guess I needed to catch up. -
Tokyo day 8
After getting to bed late, I woke up to the bed gently shaking at 6am. I think what really woke me up was the sound of the metal tip of the pull string on the post light hitting the post. Well, COLD and RAIN meant I didn't go to the fish market today. I took it a little easy, and instead tried to find the Harley David.son Tokyo store. I found where it was online, and went to the train station. The directions were not helpful (take left, cross street, take right but only distances, no landmarks or names). Tokyo day 5
So today got up and had breakfast with April, who was leaving today. Peter already left before breakfast. I went in search of Tylenol for my toe. It's still swollen up but I'm not sitting in my hotel room over a toe, dammit. I also tried to get a converter for my laptop plug (all outlets are only two slots, not grounded like I need). Japan day 4
It is now 8:30 pm on Tuesday. Woke up early and got ready for my big talk. I am so loving Japanese breakfast buffet, but I'm sure I'm not gonna wanna see the scale when I get back ( Read more... ) -
Japan day 3
Dinner last night was awesome. Went to Japanese restaurant (duh) and had many new things to eat. After Ichibora found out I liked sake, he ordered sake for me and April (the other woman traveling). Went to bed after figuring out there are no English language tv stations. Fell asleep reading book on Kindle ( Read more... ) -
Japan day 2
Slept until 10 am, then first thing I did on way to bathroom was smash my ring toe on my left foot. Pretty sure it's badly bruised, if not broken, and the nail is probably trashed, but I can't tell cuz it's got nail polish on it. Swelled up a bit but I put my shoes on and soldiered on.
