Today a yellow dog was running past our house. So, we offered her food. She was starving, poor thing. She ate like crazy. She was really sweet. Way too thin, literally starving. Today was a great day. I got a lot of work done. I took Gunny with me to pickup Elizabeth, he did really well in the van. I'm trying to get all the dogs ready to be tested to see if they qualify to be therapy dogs. Gunny's biggest problem is his shedding, it's terrible! Things haven't been going well, and I've found it hard to care. Yeah, that bit me in the butt quickly! Last Tuesday I received the notice of my "termination of contract" from work. Yesterday on the way home from church we saw some people on their Harley's. It reminded me of my Uncle Robert. He had a fat boy. He'd take me for long rides on his Harley, and I always felt safe 'cause he drove in a calm manner, smooth and fun. He had a horse and a pig and a German Shepherd. My Uncle Robert died yesterday. He was only 40 years old. Elizabeth and I will be going to Colorado all next week for the funeral and memorial.

Puppet, Kyle's dog (the mother of the puppies) is really doing great. She's putting on weight and her milk is drying up. Sam is one of the puppies that Kyle kept. He's doing great too. He's getting big. Brian gave them their shots today, and I dewormed them last week. They'll get fixed on the 27th of July ( Read more... )

Hoss is doing way better since we put him on glucosamine and omega-3 fatty acids! We took the dogs to the park yesterday and he barely limped when we got back. There's a huge change! YAY! Plus he's lost some weight. I'm so happy!!! YAY ( Read more... )
