DAMN DUDE

Jan 23, 2006 16:38

I think I had my first experience with food poisoning around 5 a.m. this morning. The Burton dining hall has hell to pay. Mercifully, though, there's been no projectile expulsion of anything ( Read more... )

I'm a little confused, you bounce between elation in paragraph 3 to utter irony in paragraph 4. Do you think that your reader likes to be on the same emotional rollercoaster you're on when you're writing? WEll, they don't, and you know, I could complain about my roommate, but I like him a lot, and he's nice, and just because we're not that close doesn't mean I have to mock him on live journal. Not that I ever would because only a DICK would do that.

DICK.

In my defense, it's only the last line of paragraph 4. And I'm really please you've decided to refrain from criticizing your roommate this week, because I know I certainly heard enough about it last term.

SUPER DICK.

Well then, DICK, it looks like the tables have turned. When I ate lunch with my ROOMIE (his vocabulary) I thoroughly enjoyed myself, quite unlike when I ate luch with you. You people by whom I mean toast and water eating roommate hating people, need to realize how annoying you are.

LOVe,
SUPER DICK

If this is an indication of anything, it's that you're only sympathetic when you can see what you're going through reflected in others. I'm entitled to be annoyed by things that are, at times, generally disruptive. And it was toast and Sierra Mist, which I thought would settle my stomach.

LOVE,

I'm in the same boat as you vis a vis your third paragraph, except I don't know if I'm going to the concert as I'm taking either two or three finals the next day. As for the roommate situation, Aditya watched cricket with the lights on without headphones until 3:30-ish last night, and the night before that was yelling at his girlfriend at approximately the same time [over the phone]. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I hope he flunks out spring term.

Aren't the women in shonen knife all in their mid 40s by now?

Isn't it awkward when your roommates go to bed before 12-12:30ish because you're thinking something like "Damn dude, am I typing too loud?".

Also, food poisoning LOL.

They probably are. But maybe he listens to the early stuff, I dunno. Wouldn't surprise me. The kid will talk your ear off about his favorite Chinese restaurants on the west coast, too.

yeah well MY roommate... actually pete's really good at being quiet. except I'm going to be really happy when five weeks are up and he doesn't have 1a MWF because it pretty much ruins the last hour of sleep when you wake up to someone else's alarm at 8 everyday.

ps why does he have to get up at 7? There's nothing to do then...
