Who'd have thought I'd make a Torchwood tag?

Aug 03, 2011 05:23

I've been waking up with these weird, constant headaches for the past few days now. It's kind of annoying, mostly cause I don't know what the cause is.

Anyhow, finally got around to watching Torchwood Miracle Day 3 and 4, with help from anna_sg1 .

Spoilery, of course for 3 and 4 )

tv: torchwood, synergistic obsession, taken with epiphanies

Ah, headaches. Joy. Your likely candidates are a bad sleeping schedule, lack of exercise, or disagreeable food. Or heat/dehydration. Or you're sick, lol.

Given how I spent this morning bent over the sink vomiting, I'm going to go with food or sick. Bahhh.

Also, you need to show me how to sync LJ and DW cause it doesn't seem to be syncing XD

Here's my working hypothesis. The triangle represents aliens, or at least some shadowy organization of humans with access to alien or far-future technology. Their motives are still unknown, and too wide-open for me to speculate here. They contracted PhiCorp to be their man on the inside, so to speak, and get a lot of the heavy lifting done, what with PhiCorp's finances and access to lobbyists, the press, etc. The whole drug profit scheme is simply the carrot used to entice PhiCorp to play along.

Therefore, PhiCorp knows pieces of the story, but the Triangle (I'm just gonna assume that's their group name for now) are keeping parts of the plan hidden. PhiCorp, perhaps sensing this, is also keeping secrets from the Triangle. Or trying to, at least.

They seem to be waiting something else to come and whatever new world order comes with it? I'm not exactly sure what they meant by 'the families will rise'.

I guess PhiCorp could just be the man on the inside or the useful front, but they seem to be having a lot of similar goals, assuming that the overflow camps are just something that PhiCorp themselves came up with.

I forgot about "the families will rise." It doesn't sound like an invasion from outer space, that's for sure. More like yet another case of aliens being here all along and nobody knowing it.

Does PhiCorp want the overflow camps for any reason of their own?

Or a case of alien possession? The Family from HN/FoB was after immortal bodies, after all, and Jack had an immortal body which would be something that he could 'give them long ago'. Or something like that?

I'm not entirely sure, but I think someone mentioned during the ep that PhiCorp was aiming to have all the 'dead' people in camps doped up on pain meds? But I'm not sure what that accomplishes...

Also, Monroe's tirade was apparently revealing too much of the Triangle's hand. Does that mean that Miracle Day might end?

THE SILENTS ARE RUNNING PHI-CORP!

Kidding :) (although it would be funny). Actually, Jess's conclusions pretty much match my own.

In other news, I'm going to need a Torchwood icon. Clearly.

AND THEY GOT THE TIME VORTEX DNA FROM JACK TO MAKE RIVER I GET IT NOW!

It could be possible the Silents were running PhiCorp, though no one would ever remember they were...

Clearly, I'm using Fringe Division to sub in for Torchwood. Cause they're kind of similar, you know? Minus Jack.

P.S. Did you catch up all the way already?
