Hear me roar

The paper's done. I think this time it's for real, which is good because there's no time left in this semester. Next step: scheduling the defense within the next three weeks, amidst conflicting travel schedules and an imminent baby delivery. Nothing like taking it down to the wire!

Now I go die.

7:30 will come far, far too soon.

Congrats on finising the paper.

Now I know we haven't talked in a bit, but I'm hoping I'm not so out of the loop that the baby delivery is you?

Hahahaha! No, it's not me. Our department chair's wife is due on Monday, and he's basically told the department that he'll be taking much of the rest of the semester off once the baby is born.

Congratulations!

I second aquamindy's comment - imminent baby delivery?

Given how recently you saw me, I'm amused that you wonder. (As I said above, it's the wife of one of my committee members who's due on Monday. Eep!)

well I knew it wasn't you...I just wasn't confident that I hadn't missed some news about someone else!

I'm hoping... Two out of the three are being very accommodating, so it's the third (with an imminent baby) that I'm worried about. He has office hours today, so I'll be talking to all three of them and will see what comes.

YAYAYAYAY! Congratulations on finishing that paper! Have something tasty and chocolatey! BTW - I think we're going to see Shannon and Clayton after Thanksgiving in Maryland.

Tonight, tonight I will have something tasty and chocolaty :-)

As for Shannon and Clayton, that's wonderful! We keep talking about visiting, but it hasn't worked out yet. I should see how they're doing pre- and post- the next surgery...
