"Johnny Cash's Hurt is goosebump-inducing. Good lord."

Yes. It's also one of those songs that will stop me in my tracks.

I have The Way We Eat co authored by Peter Singer if you'd like to borrow it. It's one of my non-signed Peter Singer books, so it may leave the house without a leash and me.

Ooh, thanks! I was going to check the library first, but I will certainly let you know.

I do appreciate the significance of the offer: some books do require leashes to be let out of the house...

Trent has gone on record saying that Hurt is no longer his song, but Cash's. It's definitely one of my all time favourite Cash songs.

And the first time I heard "Personal Jesus" on American IV, I didn't know what to think, but it really grew on me.

Totally with you on the Johnny Cash thing... man that man had soul.

I wish I could remember the book on the history of food I borrowed from my friend Elizabeth that one time... I think you'd enjoy it. In included tid bits about approximate dates for the domestication of different animals. Chickens are a more recent development than I thought, for instance ;)
