I thought this article was well-written, convincing, and generally well worth reading:

Disgrace: Obama's increasingly absurd gay marriage position

1) The Cambridge Main library. It's like being twelve again, in my hometown public library. It's making me into a reader again. It's full of light, good for wandering, and great for biking there on a Friday lunch hour.

Finding this quote (in the email signature of someone affiliated with Aero-Astro) was unexpectedly lovely:

This gave me the goosebumps and almost made me cry.



I get to read / watch / think about interesting things for work sometimes.

We went to Portland (Maine, not Oregon) last weekend and stayed in a wonderful, not-too-frilly B&B. There was a lot of hanging out in the room and reading under the covers. Reader Photos: Holiday Cookies and Recipes

Ugh, December. I'm tired of tooling and tired of work and all that sort of thing. A glass of wine does help these things, but all right, now I should actually start that last problem set. The starting is always the hardest.

Climbed the stairs at Porter, but am about to have a cupcake. Not sure how that works out overall.
