OK, so it's been forever since I posted and therefore I'm going to draw a massive line under the past seven months and start afresh. It's been a time of ups and massive downs but generally pretty good.

Writer's Block: Look at Me/Don't Look at Me
It depends what I'm doing. If it's just a normal day, I keep out of the way and let other people take the limelight. Or I try to at least. If I'm playing a concert and I'm the soloist it's all about me. If I'm playing in an orchestra (like this evening...eep) then it's give and take, isn't it. Writer's Block: Word for Word
A lot. A lot, a lot, a lot. All from shows. I know Phantom of the Opera pretty much word for word, a few songs from RENT and most of the songs from Wicked. All the ones on the soundtrack at least. Also those big numbers from various shows, like 'Memory' from Cats and 'I Don't Know How to Love Him' from Jesus Christ Superstar.

Backstory: Dave (the guy on the right with the shaved head - incredibly sweet and amazing trumpeter) plays with Samba York regularly, usually on percussion. Rehearsals for the next show with Stage One start on Sunday. The Wedding Singer is going on stage the first week of May and it's gonna be awesome. Annoyingly, a lot of the rehearsals are on Tuesday and Thursday. Seen today, on the bin near Toni and Guy in Hertford town centre:
A hand-written sign saying,
"Helpful advice:
The Best Things in Life Are Free."
I wish I'd taken a picture.
Also, on the flower shop opposite the Marquee: "Helpful advice: THINK POSITIVE."
Maybe we have an artiste in the town. That'd be a shocker...
