I had no illusions that if John Kerry won everything would be set striaght. But I didn't think Bush America was the real America. I didn't think it was fair to be despised by the rest of the world on account of our leaders, he didn't even really win the election four years ago, he doesnt represent the real people of this country... or so I thought ( Read more... )

Yeah, I was pretty disillusioned about this whole thing from the get go, but I think that was partially because I took it for granted that Kerry would probably win.

i totally know what you mean. i just don't get the rest of the country. i canno wrap my mind around the fact that people are so conservative and are more about going wrecklessly into war than being catuious. it is just so unbelievable that bush had so much support. where the hell are all of there people coming from. i guess i just forgot that rest of the people in the country are generally way more conservative that the people that are around me now. it is going to be a really stupid next four years.

i think it's a really sad day when you politly ask an individual who happens to be a bush supporter if they would care to sign a petition to protect wilderness areas that have been protected BY LAW since 1964 from having roads built through them for logging and drilling purposes. and they say no.

why are these folks called conservatives if they don't feel the need to conserve anything but their monetary assets and their religious beliefs?

51% of the American population has saddened me greatly. I only hope that those of us who know a difference can be made, act on it in any way possible these next four years instead of bitching about how we were wronged again.

doing something to make change even if it doesn't work out, is better than doing nothing at all.
