I like Starscream's idea =) Granted, they probably aren't going to survive his idea, but someone has to stop this madness!! I love Jazz and his manner of protest. I wonder if what he plays will be some sort of funeral sounding piece? I wouldn't put it past him...

Soundwave showing compassion for the little ones shows what a really backwards place this world has become that they would kill hosts!!

What will they do indeed!!

Starscream's so unrepentant in the Alignment verse, I couldn't help it. :) Maybe it's compassion; each party's telling themselves it was just a business. I figured that Soundwave wouldn't flat out rip off someone in such dire states (at least, not at this point in his development).

As for Jazz...I haven't figured out what he's going to do just yet. I actually though about him playing a dirge or something, but he's not going to risk things on *that* blatant a move. But he's not going to take things peaceably, that's for certain!

I'm enjoying this story very much, it's fantastic.

The world you've built in these chapters is very intriguing, and your Starscream grew on me with every line he spoke (ok, I loved him from the start when he said: “Lord Marshall, your Prime is honking mad and needs to be shot.”

Pure genius!^^

I'm glad you're enjoying the world-building so much!

I don't think I ever cackled so hard as when I was reading the Exodus novel and realized that Starscream was Sentinel Prime's bodyguard, especially with Sentinel Prime being such a complete and total prick. I was honestly surprised he didn't back-stab SP right off the bat, especially considering how often he picks up the traitor-ball in the alignment continuity. Alignment Starscream is so completely unrepentantly traitorous it's amazing.

Thanks so much!

I believe the Alignment verse refers to the Exodus and Exiles novels that came out not too long ago which tie in the War for Cybertron game verse with some of the comic and cartoon verses to create a form of universal canon back-story. TF Prime is starting to venture into this verse too.

Prowl and Starscream cracked me up in this. You know it's bad when Starscream's plans actually make sense, and you find yourself agreeing with him.... Jazz as always is Jazz and if he has to be forced to do something he doesn't want to, then of course he'll find a way to make sure his displeasure is known.

I'm not a big Soundwave fan but that's interesting that he just took the "Cassettes" on like that.

Yeah, it's really bad, especially with this iteration of Starscream that's just so random in his motives in-universe.

I'm actually expanding more on Soundwave in the next chapter; he's not at the point where he's got the Cassettes on board like we all are used to; it's still in business mode for me; he had what they wanted/needed, and they had combat protocols he desperately needed especially since he is canonically able to go head-to-head against other gladiators except Megatron in the novels. He's definitely not there yet at this point, so he's grabbing any advantage he can. I envision this more of a case of "that's a great bargain in my favor, let me throw you guys a little bit extra in thanks", hence the mass anchoring. I figure it'll take a few more business deals before they hook up officially.

Yeah let's use starscream's idea!! I like how you're writing all their relationships before the war starts but you can really feel the tension. The banter between Prowl and Starscream though make me sad that they end up on opposite sides :s

And poor Soundwave and the minicons!!! D:

Definitely use Starscream's idea! :) Oh man, Starscream (when he's not backstabbing left and right) and Prowl on the same team would be incredibly awesome. ^__^

Well, Soundwave and Co. are not a team yet, but I'm working off the principal of misery shared and mutual benefits to draw them together. (Alnd is it just me, or is Soundwave only having three minicons in this universe pretty disturbing?; what happened to other three!?!)
