Today is the centenary of the death of he young poet, Wilfred Owen. ONE WEEK before the Armistice he was shot by a sniper

We only learned this year that G's grandfather died in World War I. Both my grandfathers fought in the trenches but survived, though paternal grandfather was badly wounded and nearly died of the resulting infection.
