If you've been snipped, honestly, it's nothing personal, we've likely grown apart in interests and whathaveyou, maybe you've dropped away from LJ too? Maybe you never friended me back

I just got back from a mass-unsub of mailing lists, too, and have to say I feel a tremendous lightness of being right now. :)

I know what you mean about this real life thing. When I go away with the Sealed Knot I don't miss the telly or the laptop - I have a real live book with me and I love to sit and read when I'm not socialising. It's so peaceful and restful! It's addictive.

It is, isn't it? While I was offline, I read seven books, did a 5 - 7 mile walk a day and got so much work done. I'm trying to resist the slide back to old habits, turning the lappy off when not actively using it. I've pruned because I want online time to be quality time.

I'm glad you're enjoying life with the SL and - OMG! RAIN!!! Lotsandlotsandlots of thunder and heavy, heavy RAIN. Satellite signal is down, I am praying for my courgettes. :)

We gots the RAIN here too! The black clouds are rolling by and the thunder and lightning is just starting to kick in with a vengeance. It's taken the satellite off here and now it's chucking it again!
I wish your courgettes well in this downpour! I hope you gave them an umbrella...

ha! Last time we went away, the garden parasol blew down and took out 2 cucumbers and a lovely orange glass water bud. Umbrellas are evil.

Oh, thunder? WANTS! But yes, we have proper rain too, as in sloshing down and wet rather than the token gnat's wee that's the most we've had in weeks... naturally muggins had to go out in it twice tonight, but it was more "Singin' In The Rain" than "bugger, I'm soaked!"
