And... we're in Rome!

We spent our last 4 nights in Rome - the city of beautiful ruins, preserved from its past civilizations.

4 nights might be a tad long for Rome but we wanted to slow down our travel pace and allocate more time for shopping.

By the time we got to Florence, I was all ready to shop!

It's funny that we were in the City of Art and Culture but we had no intentions to visit museums and cathedrals. Florence is full of them, but they just do not interest YX and me. I much prefer to admire the architecture of the buildings from the outside.

Friends were surprised that we chose to visit Parma since it's not a typical tourist destination and it can be quite 'ulu'.

Well, I've got a foodie husband who was excited to visit the city where Proscuitto (i.e. Parma Ham) and Parmigiano Reggiano (i.e. Parmesan Cheese) are produced so we were there for 2 nights.

Visiting Verona was my husband (YX)'s idea.

I wanted to visit Venice but the accomodations in Venice were god damn expensive, so we decided to stay in a nearby city, Verona and do a day trip to Venice instead.

Looking back, that was a brilliant idea by YX because Verona turned out to be our favourite city, while Venice was a big disappointment. ( Read more... )

Every year, I'll visit Kudos by Headlines Hairdressing for their signature Rinka Aqua Care C-Curls Treatment. This is my 5th year of wearing C-Curls and I've never stopped loving it. It's one of the few hairstyles that actually looked good on me.
