Let's start with the important stuff - Go England in the rugby! I don't know if I can bear to watch the final; trying to tweak a fic, and watch the semi with one petrified eye on the screen was an absolute nightmare. Not least because I've now made myself sound like Mad-Eye, lol ( Read more... )

I can't wait to read your fic, although I may need more than a tea-break ;).

Help yourself to some Strictly icons to take your mind off things ;).

I'm just hoping it doesn't leave everyone else in a similar comatosed state to me today, lol.

Bet you'll never guess which icons I've eyed up. ;)

Is it the Brandan ones? ;)

I felt really bad for Stephanie because I really loved their quick step - although she made me laugh so much when they announced her name and that she was going home, and it's nice that we'll get to see more of Darren.

I did toy with those... For about minus two seconds. I'm wondering what rumours it will start about me if I just go straight for an Alesha one, lol. I already want an Alesha, Matt and Gethin final!

I felt for Stephanie too, and loved the choice of music and her dress. I know she didn't stand a chance, and was obviously thrilled to go, but she was a real personality and had such a good sense of humour about it all. And I couldn't cope with Letitia's face pulling. Wish the public wouldn't do these sympathy votes, much as I love Anton. And obviously, for this show, I'm not a member of the public, but an expert who should be on the panel instead of Arlene, who keeps sounding to me as if she can't get her pre-prepared lines right?!

18,000 words!!! Wow, I don't think I could ever manage THAT in such a short period of time, lol! I'm definitely going to read it, now that I'm also done with my fic (!), and I'm currently on break. I don't plan on doing anything but read fanfics all day - which makes me really happy that the jumble is taking place during a month-long break. Woo!

And I agree, there are so many good ones! I haven't gotten a chance to review everyone else's, but I'm aiming to. I feel like I should bow down and worship you guys - I'm awed at your greatness and I wonder what I was thinking, trying and entering a ficathon with so many talented writers... ;)

I was so glad when you posted yours just after mine; I thought the chocolate must have worked at the eleventh hour!

It has taken me a very long week of head-banging, whinging and compulsive biscuit eating to do mine, so I'm not sure it's any great achievement really, lol. But it's a relief to think it's done and, like you, I can relax, read and enjoy without the guilt.

And I just know you're being modest! I'm awed myself at what people are pulling off with all these prompts and unfamiliar genres, but my favourite bit is reading new stories by new writers to me. :) I'm looking forward to getting to yours, though it might take me just a little while... ;)

Well, thoughts of chocolate and Remus DO tend to do that. ;) And yeah, I thought it was really cool that I posted mine after yours, after we'd both been going on about the difficulty of ending painfully long fics! Hee.

I will admit to reading some fics before finishing my story. Meta is distracting that way, LOL! Not that I haven't placed fan fic ahead of my studies, especially during the previous semester. I've definitely got my priorities straight. :D

I hope to catch up on my reviewing soon! And thanks for looking forward to reading my fic - I'm quite flattered and nervous at the same time, LOL. I'm really just blown away by the talent of the people over at Meta... and I'll be quite glad if I at least produced something up to the community's standards. :)

Thanks for the support for the team!

I'm nearing reading your fic; I can see it getting closer in the horizen of my screen, lol. And don't worry about mine; it's just lovely to see the back of it. Sort of. ;)

Well, I adore England so, why not? Lol.

Ah, take your time! Haha! No, I really wanna read it! I'm going away this weekend and I like to read fanfics when I'm away but I've no computer access where I'm going. Damn. I promise I'll read it!!

Congrats on finishing the fic, I hope you feel good about it. Can't wait to read it, I'll be page loading it before I go home tonight and having it with dinner.

Saturday's going to be a nail biter, I shall have to find something else to do while watching it.

I hope you're having a three course dinner! (Can't help feeling I should have told a tiny 'lie' here, and said it was about 5,000 words, and just hoped people wouldn't notice as it went on. And on;)) It is nice to have got it done as it seemed a very, very long week trying to do so.

How's yours doing? Are you getting any writing time at all?

I can't take these nerve-wracking Saturdays; SCD and nail-biting rugby. Wasn't it once a day you could go out on?!

LOL Had a slight change of plans because I need to do my programming homework while I still remember the class. Apparently simple maths is now beyond me, though I'm doing alright with the actual programming! So I shall read at bedtime instead. The word count's not off-putting to me, just want to make sure I have time to enjoy it properly.

I've had a bit of a change of direction with my fic (shocking, I know, for me). I had a problem in that the prompts inspired a story that has now evolved so much, the prompts aren't in it anymore, lol.

I just watched the Claudia What-Her-Face show. (Gethin is on tomorrow's so don't miss it!) Honestly, if Leticia doesn't go out next week, I'm going to have to change the channel when she dances. Her facial expressions make me pull faces. Stephanie would have been worth keeping around for her entertainment value, regardless of how she dances.

Anyway, must get back to this problem that's gnawing on my brain cells, and stop thinking about light-footed (or not) celebrities!

Well at least I feel I may literally help you drop off tonight, lol.

I do watch Claudia and I have ear-marked Gethin for tomorrow night! I feel sorry for Letitia, though I found her face-pulling very, very off-putting. But who's dressing her? They don't put her in anything flattering and yet she looks really nice in some of these black outfits.

I'm going to miss Stephanie, she was a real personality. I just couldn't imagine her doing the jive or the rumba though... ;)

I cannot WAIT to read your fic. It may take me a few days to get to it, because I'm trying to read things in the order they were posted so as not to leave anyone out my mistake, lol.

I'm beginning to siriusly wonder if there's something wrong with MY fic because I didn't have as much trouble with it. Oh well, I'm sure the NEXT one will stump me. It always comes in waves -- an easy fic, followed by one that keeps me awake and blinking in the dark whilst moths flutter in and out of my empty cranium ... ;) But yours must have turned out all right in the end, to have come to 18,000 words! *cheers loudly*

I'm bearing down on your fic, lol, and eagerly anticipating a Brat Special. ;) For some reason, which probably made sense at the time, I started with a random order and, trust me, you've got the right idea for avoiding confusion and missing things!

I'm glad to hear yours did the Well Behaved Fic routine - I think mine tend to alternate as well, and I was overdue a real head scratcher after a couple of very obliging ones. They do do you good though ... don't they? ;)

Btw, can you hear me laughing at/admiring your icon? And I'm more a Johnny fan!

Oh, I've tried the random order thing - actually, not so random; I thought I'd read the short fics first so as to give myself the ILLUSION of getting through more fics faster ;) - and it did not work for me. I overlooked so many fics, and I ran out of time anyway. :(

Glad you like the Naked!Sirius icon. I can't stop staring at it. Hee. But for your Johnny needs, here's Johnny. Isn't ladybracknell brilliant? (And I got to help this time by wasting making good use of my lunch hour one day searching for pictures of naked Gary and Johnny, lol. Hey, I see a need and I make sure the tools are available so that my icon-making pals can fill it. We all reap the benefits. ;)

Oh, that's great! LOL. That's such a perfect Sirius look. And we all need Icon Therapy from time to time.

Do you really want to know my random plan? Art, followed by one short fic, then one long. Didn't go well as I'm easily confused as to where I've been!

But I've just been somewhere hugely enjoyable for my final one tonight. :)
