Heya! It's so nice to hear from you, to have you describe the physical surroundings and your other impressions so far. You say a lot with very few (comparatively) words, and though I would have loved to read five or ten times as many, I don't feel clueless about your life right now. I do feel there's a lot to look forward to, a lot you're going to learn that I can't wait to hear, things neither you nor I are meant to know now that we'll see with time. Well, you'll see, and you'll tell me if you want me to see, too. In that sense

Even when she's tired, she finds words better than I do. :) My thoughts, also, are always with you, and I'll be wishing you luck every moment, but at the same time knowing that you don't need it. You're already a mature, caring, thoughtful, intelligent, wonderful lady... All you need now is the room to grow, and you just got it! You're on your own, which is an awesome (and scary) feeling, and I can't wait to hear about everything you experience.
I love you so much, Mads... *gihugichugs* (not as Beanie thought)

hey- So now it is a day later...and another day that has seemed so far to drag on for way to long. Orientation is so boring as they drag on by mentioning the same things over and over. Though today I was late for one of the events because I realized when I went to get food that I could not get food until I bought my student ID and by the time I got that (with a horrible pic of me on it) lunch time was over and I was hungry so I ate with a nice gal. Also I'm going to be walking tomorrow with a quad mate type person to our major meeting (which is meeting with all the teachers of the department we are working with.) I'm soon going to be heading back to the dorm to have dinner with my floor mates and then head to a carnival then there is a dorm party type thing. I'm very busy and very tired but I have a feeling no matter how tired I get I'll still have fun. I hope that all is going well with you. love Mads

All is going very well with me, thank you for asking! I love you lots! Man, I love hearing about everything you're doing! I have a hard time imagining it, but when you describe it, it's like I'm there, and I can sorta feel everything you're going through, and the newness of everything!
I'm not sure if we'll make it out to visit you this year, but if all goes well, and Nick gets a nice job (which I know he will) then you can count on us visiting you! Tell us how the parties go, kay? And if there are any new people you meet... And remember to beware of guys! When at a party, never leave your drink unattended (they might slip something into it), and always remember you can say "no".... (I know you know all this, I'm just worrying. :)
You got there safely! Thanks for calling. I have been SO busy this last week. My friend came from NY and everything got really hectic. Hopefully the rest of the week will slow down a bit. I am going to try to go to the gym soon. I haven't been for a week and I really don't want to go. Oh well, gotta make myself do it anyway. Let me know how everything is going over there!!!!
Not enough!forkingpathsAugust 19 2004, 03:34:53 UTC
Quite on the contrary! You haven't blabbed enough! I really like hearing about everything you're experiencing, everything you're going through... Please update us frequently about everything, because it only really set in today that I wouldn't be seeing you for quite some time (which hit me very suddenly and made me quite sad). So, reading about what you're doing and imagining you going through your first days at school is just awesome. You will rock there, hon, it's going to be hard to adjust, but once you do, you'll realize you made the best decision. Again, we're so proud of you! Please, write more! Give us your physical address, too (maybe via email so it's more private), so we can send your stuff to you (dresses, etc).
I love you so much, honey. Keep us updated! We want more! *hugs* I love you. -Rach

Ditto everything she said - from the physical address to the plea to write more! I share her opinion that you don't 'blab' nearly enough. I for one would love to read everything you have to say, whenever you have to say it. And will cross me fingers that it's often, and a lot. :)
