I visited her dad this morning. It was really bad. He was crying and -

I went to visit her dad. He told me himself.

That's terrible. It must be because of the Quibblers. Do you think it was because she distributed them? Did someone tell? If so, a number of us may be in danger.

I don't think we're in trouble for them from anyone other than the Carrows. But Luna's dad is the editor. Maybe they were trying to stop him from writing about things that put the Ministry in a bad light and supported Harry.

At least if they're blackmailing him then they'll be taking care of her, won't they? She's not much leverage if she's -

I'd like to say that it couldn't get worse, but I know that it could and I don't want to think about how it could get worse or to tempt fate. Not that I believe in that sort of shite.

Oh no, that's awful! Do you have any idea if she's still alive all right, even if she's missing? Oh, well, that's a stupid question, I guess no one can really know if she's missing, but I hope she's all right, whatever that's supposed to mean in a case like this.

I completely trust you, but I'm curious -- how did you know for sure? I remember some of the other students talking about something on the train, but I came late and it's confusing and this is so awful. I wish there was something we could do.

The Lovegoods live near my place what's left of them anyway. I went to see her dad and try and find out what happened. She's definitely missing. I'd love to be wrong, but unfortunately I think it's a cert.

I've an idea they're blackmailing her dad for something, so they need to keep her alive or else they'll lose their leverage at least that's what I'm hoping.

I'm sorry, Hannah. I wish I had better news for you. I really do.

Find her, of course. I'm sure when Dad gets home and I tell him that Luna is missing, he'll use his contacts to get information on her whereabouts. This is just - I knew it was only a matter of time before this stuff started happening to people I actually knew instead of just knew of, but it doesn't make it any fucking easy to deal with.

I'm really worried, but is there anything I can do? To help you feel better, that is. I have a feeling that there's not much we can do for Luna but

I appreciate the offer, but I think I'm going to continue feeling like this until I can actually do something productive about the situation I know for certain what's happened to her. Hopefully that isn't in the form of me standing over her grave. Thanks though.
