I feel like certain members of our faculty may have lost their minds in the last week. First the 7th year DADA assignments and now this insane essay for 6th year Potions? With all due respect for Professor Slughorn, how the hell am I supposed to write 24 inches on the correct way to slice sneezewort?! I'm sure it's POSSIBLE, but I'm going to lose ( Read more... )

Hermione's very busy lately apologizing to people for my dumb brother. And besides, it's not like I'm not smart enough to figure it out myself, really. I just think it's a horrid assignment.

Too bad. She wouldn't be so bloody busy if your brother wasn't such an arse - yes, I've heard about it. Blaise is one unlucky man.

I didn't say you weren't smart enough to figure it out. Is jumping to conclusions a Gryffindor trait?

Have you talked to Slughorn about the assignment yet? He'd be happy to help by pushing you into someone else's direction. Goddamn the man., I'm sure.

Well you did suggest that I ought to ask Hermione for help, which is rather similar to suggesting I couldn't do it.

What am I supposed to say? 'Excuse me Professor, but I think your assignment is total pants' ? I'm sure he'd LOVE that. Not to mention every time I ask him for help he tells me to ask you, which is NOT on!

Hello Gin. I was thinking of having some kind of regular band meetings (but not right now, obviously, because of yucky schoolwork), so when are you mostly free?

Hey Terry. Sounds like a plan. I don't have Quidditch practice on Monday, Wednesday or Friday evenings. So those would be the best nights for me.

I think Wednesdays would be the best. Monday feels too much like work and Friday evenings are for chilling.

Oh, yes, good idea. I've just wasted taken up six inches discussing different types of blades. But I've still only got eleven total.

If I end up in St. Mungo's tell them I'd like a room with a window, please?

You're not going to end up in St Mungo's. And if you do, you'll be in good company as most of sixth year will be there.

Different types of blades, eh? I didn't think of that one. I just blew eight inches discussing what could go wrong if ingredients were sliced the wrong way.

Well using your brilliant example idea, I've now got sixteen and a half inches. Somehow I don't think I can manage a seven and a half inch conclusion though. Hmm... maybe I could compare it to another plant?
