I finally bought a new bike, after mine got stolen a month or two ago. A friend of mine who is moving to new york had a nice used Specialized Hard Rock that he sold me for $50. It's in pretty good shape, with no mechanical problems at all, once I cleaned it up and tightened some bolts. Henceforth I shall not be reliant upon the fickle bus

Personally, the most disappointing aspect of the film was that they missed out on a golden shower opportunity with Tom Cruise that would have paid a perfect tribute to Shogun! ;>

I havent read any of james clavell's massive books. My dad liked them, but in the spirit of youthful rebellion, i stopped reading dad-recommended books for a while and had since forgotten all about 'em. Any good?

And yeah they did miss several opportunities for golden showers cinematic sequences.
