It was one year ago today that the world was supposed to have ended...AGAIN. Well it didn't, and Chris and I celebrated by saying our vows in front of family and friends this time last year. Alex passed the last test in his GED and will soon be getting his certificate of completion! After months of red tape because something that was supposed to have been written in the IEP wasn't, doctor visits for verification and having the important information sitting on a desk for over a month when it was supposed to have been sent to Olympia ( Read more... )

I went to the Cortiva Massage school on Friday to meet with the admissions person and to get a tour of the facility. The more I learn about this place, the more I feel that this has been the right choice for me. Everyone in the place has been wonderful and is excited to have me come there. So we survived the big "snowpocalypse" or "Snowmagedon" as people coined it in Seattle. Actually it was not the big snow dump that was first predicted. I only measured about 6 inches or so at the deepest. Still for Seattle, who completely shuts down in a half inch of snow, it was enough.
