I’m working night tonight and should be relieved by two co-workers tomorrow morning. Only one of them is the one with the drug-problem and he has done his disappearing act again. No one knows where he is, which means that we have three vacancies instead of two. And the other one called in sick on Monday and if there has been word

Wow, that sounds awful. And how rude of them not to let you know. I know that I'd be more stressed not knowing if I was going to have someone to relieve my shift.

That is good that the union has the power to shut down the workplace if it isn't healthy. And it sure doesn't sound healthy.

Yes, isn't it! Another thing I wonder about is the upcoming weekend. we work either morning, evening or night and as things look now, there is only someone for the nights. Not my problem, I have a free weekend, but still. And I can almost bet that they will phone me tomorrow and ask if I can work extra- which I can't, as Son is going to have his birthday party.

It most certainly isn't and though I can't hope that they will shut it down, I do hope there will be reprimands. As far as I understand they can give a few days respite to allow for changes, and I hope that will happen.
