I’m working my last day, or rather night, at my current job. It feels a bit strange. I’ve never resigned from a job because I’m changing jobs, only to start to study. I’m working night tonight and should be relieved by two co-workers tomorrow morning. Only one of them is the one with the drug-problem and he has done his disappearing act again. I’m back at work again, after three weeks. I’m still not completely well- my lungs still hurt when I breathe and I haven’t much of a voice. Actually, my lungs feel like they did when I had pneumonia, but all tests are negative and I don’t have a temperature. So I’m back and the situation is worse than when I got sick. I have just worked a most disgusting weekend where nothing whatsoever went right. And now I top of that with two nights. Oh joy. I’ve stopped sleeping properly- I sleep for a few hours, then lay awake for two, then sleep some more. That’s a very typical stress-reaction for me. Tonight I’m going to meet dichroic and her husband. I look forward to it as she is one of the few people I met online. Ten years ago, when Son was newborn we also got connected to the Net. Yesterday I went on crisis therapy, something my work has provided due to the death of my workmate. We talked about him on how I feel about is and then we talked about my work and how stressful it is. I've just worked seven days in a row- and had to get up four in the morning for the last five. It doesn't matter that I've been sleeping by nine o'clock in the evenings and had more than seven hours of sleep every night. Getting up that early wreck havocs with me ( Read more... )

Yesterday Spiff arrived. He's big and bouncy and is turning 11 weeks today. Yesterday, when we came to pick him up, he was cuddling with his three sisters in the sofa and we found it heartbreaking to take him with us.
