Well, Mr. Smarty-Ginger, just you wait. When our basketball guys get out there with their bats and helmets, your guys will be so frightened that they won't make any touchdowns at all. So there.
Bah!!! Let these non-sports people say their thing. I promise you Ga Tech will go down and go down hard. We have Rick Pitino coaching us. We don't go only 6 deep like Ga Tech, we go 10. We can rain down 3 pointers all game. If Garcia is off, we have Dean, Palacios, Miles, O'Bannon, etc. We have won 22 of our last 24. How did you do in your conference tourney? We won ours in Cat-lanta. I could go on, but I don't feel a need to. You have been smacked.
Are we talking about the same teams?gingerererMarch 20 2005, 17:14:46 UTC
A quick check of Ga. Tech's team stats show that Tech has 10 players averaging more than 10 minutes of playing time per game, compared to Louisville's 8 players. Tech's bench players are averaging 23 points per game as a group, which is about the same as Louisville. And I seem to recall that in Tech's last game against North Carolina, Tech made over 70 substitutions over the course of the game. And in our conference tourney, we defeated the team ranked number 2 in the country, and almost beat the number 5 team in the country. Oh, and we're starting most of the players that played for the national championship last year.

(All this aside, after yesterday's games, my pick sheet is in ruins.)

Very nice... congrats on beating the higher ranked teams. We can't do that b/c there are only 3 teams ranked higher than we are. We're #4 for a reason... we're that good. I hope you guys can keep up with our fitness. I wanna see a good game. I was hoping to beat two ACC teams in our bracket, but poor Wake couldn't hang with a Big East also-ran. Oh yeah, we're headed to the Big East next year, and they're scared of 'Da Ville. GO CARDS!!! Neener neener neener!
(a side bracket note... this game makes or breaks a couple of my brackets, either way)

For dinner this evening, I think I'll have the crow with a side of my own words. For dessert, I'd like the humble pie.
Louisville played a great game tonight, and I hope they continue to do well in the tournament. At least until they come up against another team that I picked (which I think may be Illinois).
