I agree that I would not trade my childhood before technology. I tell my youngest to enjoy life but she always fusses so much about her outfit partly because all teens are always taking photos and videos and posting them online.

That sounds amazing! I have a lot of similar memories from my own childhood, and you really brought them back - I miss that time a lot! I liked the way you wrote this, too; it felt like you had a picture in your mind and you just put it all down on the page just as you saw it. :)
Thank you! Yes, that is pretty much how I wrote it. I realized later I should have included smells. I'm so thankful to know what running wild in the country is. I never get to do it anymore.
