For many a long year have we been idle
As they came in droves to rape and kill,
Our mother wept such bitter tears,
Watching, as they quaffed their fill.
Unheard, our pleading cries hung on the air,
Thickened with particles of each heart,
Just their piercing screams tormenting us
As they viciously rent our bodies apart.
