A Muppet Christmas Carol almost always makes me cry. (Or it did a decade ago, the last time I saw it) So it doesn't get watched.

Every year there's an argument over "A Christmas Story." My father and brother like it, but I think they're deranged, and that it's just awful. The kid can't act. He's horrible. Nobody is really any good at it, but he's especially cringeworthy. (Don't get me started on his little brother) And I don't find the "homespun american family" stuff interesting, I get the same reaction I get whenever I hear somebody call rural people "Real americans."

Hate it so much. A couple years ago I got my mother to admit, confidentially, that she thinks it sucks too. (My words, not hers) She's just not willing to start a fight about it.
