I know... I'm never here...

But that doesn't mean that I'm completely off the grid. Just kinda.

Really, I've asked on my FB page. I've emailed a couple of friends. Yet... for some reason, I keep running out of stuff.

What am I talking about you ask?

I am positively jonesing for Snermione fanfic. No, I have no clue why. I really hadn't read much in the last few years aside ( Read more... )

It's old, but it's the one that flung me full force into SS/HG OTP.

Soul Searching, by Quillusion. I believe it can be found at Ashwinder.

I even had it printed off and bound so I could read it in bed, long before ereaders came along. In fact, it's still on my headboard. :D

I was asking Shug about Soul Searching just this morning. We were trying to remember what it was about. ;)

I have buttloads in e-reader formats, including RedSkyAtNight's fics, which were my favorites.

That's how I've been reading is via fanfics I've converted to read via Kindle & iBooks. I even have pretty covers. Same image on all of them, but I can tell what's what on my eReaders. Just like this one:

OMG! I'm so flattered and grateful! Wow. You've made my day. Wow. I'm all overcome with joy here! Please tell Shug I thank her from the bottom of my heart! And I hope you enjoy the fic.

Which format do you have? I'll put together a care package for you. As soon as I stop squeeing all over the place! ;)

I created the image as a base and it takes me about 3 minutes to add the wording for my book covers. It makes the fics more appealing. :) I did enjoy the story.

I typically read on my iPad...with my Kindle app, so .mobi. But I use iBooks sometimes, too, so .ePub is fine. I use Calibre to convert if I have issues. Really the only problems I have is converting Word docs.... And I learned this weekend that a few people posted on TPP and labeled the fic as K+ but had a chapter or two near the end separately labeled as M and my fic grabber got confused and didn't request a password...and then didn't get me the smut chapters. Not that I particularly care about smut chapters, but I do get annoyed when I'm reading and suddenly missing several chapters. Ha!

Thank you, Mia!

I read the first 4 in the last few weeks, cuz you're right, there are some that are just on that "go to list".

I don't think I've read Killing Time. I'll go take a look at it today after I work for a bit.

I've been so giddy and excited reading this stuff over the last several weeks. It was very much an, "Oh! I knew there was a reason I was submersed in this stuff for so many years!"

I just had to be away from it for long enough to be able to get snagged back into it.

Thank you so much, June! I've read a few of these, but as I was saying before, there's very little that I remember. Heck, I was reading The Harlot's Potion this afternoon and Hermione transfigured Crookshanks into an owl and I was like, "ZOMG! Do I even remember this?" I remember it now, but... you know. LOL!

I'm having trouble even remembering what the classics are. I read Cloak of Courage about once a year and depending on my mood, I usually read Hinge of Fate and Lioness Prophecies. Otherwise, but nine times out of ten, I stop after that. I just started with something new this time and tossed these stories in the middle, and then kept going. I read In Annulo this weekend and thought, "Oh, yeah! This was what book 7 was supposed to be! I remember now!"

It's been awhile. LOL!

Well, this is an old fic I read several times a year, not only at Christmas. I remember it even before I re-read it, but it is SO well-written that I re-read it with as much pleasure as if it were new.

Christmas, SSHG romance, and some amazing magic and teamwork from their friends.

LOL! That fic was written for meeeeeeee! :)

You're right, it is well-written, and I honestly haven't read it in awhile. Thanks for the reminder!

So nice to see you, Ginny!

I've also been out of the loop for ages. So cool to see some SSHG enthusiasm bubbling up. I'll give a think and post some old favorites of mine for you tomorrow. :) I know I did some Fangirl Tour recs back in the day but there must be some from the recent exchanges that need adding, too.

Enjoy! I'll be back with lists! LOL

Thank you, hon!

It's almost like discovering a new fandom all over again. I mean, I remember it, it's familiar, but I've been doing that frantic reading like most of us did when we first discovered this ship. I love that frantic reading and that wanting desperately to read anything that I can fine.
