Well I'll have to sit on the fence here because I enjoy both. They both write from their hearts and life experiences. Gogol having a very sad and lonely childhood with few friends that continued through to adulthood. I feel his works are experiences. WEek Eight- Totally Tolstoy
I can relate to Tolstoy quite well, besides enjoying his works, they seem to put life into perspective and in his readings brings out the true nature of the beast, which beast you ask, why the" human" one of course. Week Six - Hard Times - What lies ahead?
Hard times was hard to get into but once in became a great read. There is so much depth in it and shows us the mentality of the Victorian Era, how sad =(.
