Champions of Champions Elite - Muay Thai

I'll be totally honest with everyone.

I work for a show called Champions of Champions Elite. It airs on G4TV. My job is basically to go around trolling message boards to get people to go to the site, or to watch the show. I'm getting kinda bored of the ol' bait and switch routine so i thought I'd tell the truth for once. Seriously, you try ( Read more... )

I've always been curious about Muay Thai so I went over and checked out the site. I really wanted to see more footage of the women actually fighting in matches. I'm not interested in bare midriff shots of female fighters, I want to see their technique. Why do they only show the men fighting, but all the women do is hang out talking? Also, using the same choppy footage of some woman punching a heavy bag for both interviews and a very few seconds of actual fighting looks kinda lame, like they don't really take female fighters seriously.

That's my two cents...good luck with the show.

It's always the way with female athletes. The men are athletes, the women are models. *Sigh*

I don't look sexy when I'm exercising. My face is red, I'm sweaty, and if I've got my gumshield in, I'm probably pulling a bit of a face and drooling a little. I'm trying to push my limits, not look decorative.

Yeah the mouthguard look is so NOT sexxay! Better than getting your teeth broken, though...mine has saved me more than once.

I just don't get it though. I know so many women who kick ass, in any number of martial arts--and they can kick men's asses, too--it's a shame not to showcase what they're good at. Instead it's all, "Look! Boobs!"

You put it perfectly: "Decorative." No, thanks.
