Office drama SUCKS. I hope you're able to make the move. I'll send you new job vibes. :-) And yeah about the cat fencing! But since she's still peeing other places, I would talk to your vet. There has to be something else wrong for her to just start doing it out of the blue.
Emmas had idopathic cystitis a few months ago. This is an inflammation of the bladder caused by "they don't know what". Could be stress, could be dry cat food, etc. Anyway, it generally lasts 5-7 days and clear up on its own (though it has a very high recurrance rate). It is very painful to pee and during that time Emma started peeing outside the box.
She's had every test imaginable (including ultra sound) and she's checked out fine. Could be habit at this point - she is the MOST stubborn feline I have ever met. The only thing that has deterred her has been the electronic fencing.
I've done it all... I've put the box where she pees in the family room - she pees next to the box. I put new litter boxes in the basement in a different area, buy different cat litter - she still pees in the family room.

So we're at a loss on what to do with her.
Thanks for the work vibes, I can use 'em!
