oh! on my way out to the car this afternoon, i saw ten of the teeniest, tiniest ducklings traveling in the artificial canals and lakes in my apartment complex. they were with two adult ducks. they were so amazingly cute. they were like this shot of happiness in my day. i don't know. maybe i'm that sappy ( Read more... )

Shana! Yay! I really hope you get addicted to Nellie!! The cd was SO easy for me to fall in love with - and it usually takes a while for that to happen. She could make a whole cd that sounded like any one of the songs on this cd (so varied!) and I would love it. I even like the rap songs, like "Sari" and "Inner Peace"! :) But as it is, I think its just so brilliant, how eclectic her sounds are. How she moves from sultry balladeer ('Manhattan Avenue') to disco diva ('Waiter') to Eminem wannabe. :-D She's amazing!!

Oh, what am I doing.. I've already sold you on her, haven't I?! I just have this feeling to gush whenever I hear someone mention her.

lol - not quite... it's all human-made canals... and the water is, truthfully, a little scummy.

oh, no, not at all - maybe i should have said ponds... pondlets even... they're shallow, and fairly small but elaborate.
