The zoo is offering a trip to Kenya in October and if I had an extra $5000 just lying around I would so be there. Some day.

There's a bar across the street from me, the Kingfish, that just reopened. It's been closed since I moved in and I am not pleased. Sure it's supposed to be awesome, and the line to get in that snaked down the street last night certainly supports this theory, but I don't care. Today, it felt like October in San Francisco. Grey with a hint of chill is usually my favorite weather, but I'm not ready to feel like that much time has passed in this year.

Just got off the phone with Jed. It is very very strange to hear someone's voice for the first time after being friends with them online for, like, 8 years. I like to imagine that I have pretty decent taste in movies, and I've enjoyed all manner of vampire movies in the past, so why does it seem like I'm the only person in the world who wasn't blown away by "Let the Right One In"? What am I missing here?

I've been interning at the zoo for almost a month now (holy crap, how is this possible!), so I thought I should maybe actually write about it a bit.

Laughed lots tonight and it was good. Went to see Little Joy at the Independent with Jen, Amelia, Jon, and Maggie. Was pleasantly surprised by the opening band, Leopold and His Fiction.
