when i was a little kid, my sister once found a piece of corn in the gravy. and my mom said ooh i threw a kernel in and whoever finds it gets a prize. and we believed her. it wasn't until years later when we were less naive that we figured out that she was hiding blended up vegetables in our food because we wouldn't eat them otherwise.

The way some stores are-all stingy with the good stuff-like one piece of shrimp in the seafood chowder and the other 99.9% being potatoes, I'd say: ingredient.
