Did you know that "BABY BOBBIE" = all the 2 letter words that start with B?

I'm hooked. Next up.. The three letter words that can be formed by adding one letter to a two letter word.

I have these things saved in an Excel file on my desktops at home and work. I also have the 3 letter words printed out and I use that paper as a bookmark in Word Freak.

I didn't get to play board games much when I was younger, either. I'm the youngest of 6 and have siblings that are 11, 10 and 8 years older than I am. They used to take advantage of the younger ones (short changing us at Monopoly, forcing us to trade properties based upon color rather than price.) Because of this, we never got to play games with "all of the rules". So basically all of our games were left to chance and the roll of the dice.

I'm only now (thanks to a boyfriend who LOVES games) taking advantage of/learning the strategy.

It's addictive.

i was an only child, so i was forced to play with my parents who would get into screaming fights over parfuckingchesi. my mother would retreat into the kitchen to make jiffy pop, my father to the front porch to finish smoking the carton of salems he's started that morning..

i think we finished one game in our history of family gaming.

currently, we are on a scrabble and yahtzee kick. the other night i missed the 35 pt bonus on top by one goddamn point and seriously considered bursting into tears.

i have not played all that much before now, and i ask everyone i know to play with me.. i swear to you. the other night, mike wasn't home and i played with the guy across the hall. i asked him to play and he said ok.. but he thought i meant "hey let's play sometime"

but he was wrong wrong wrong. not sometime.. now, motherfucker!

all growing up i lived in one of those families that had "family fun night" and eventually it became "family scrabble night". its a great game.

i know that pete's candy store had a scrabble saturdays (tournaments on sat. afternoons), and i was supposed to sign up over the summer but my friend flaked out and i guess i forgot. or something. you should look into it!!!
