For a second, I thought I smelled the ocean,
The salt, the sun, the summer.
It was a cruel illusion.
There are no more birds overhead,
No roaring ocean, no crisp breeze or feeling of freedom.
That's all gone now.
Time has taken the season from me.
Summer is miles away.
I can't believe I thought I smelled the ocean.
