This morning i was glad my suite still fitted. I googled up a map - got the train time tables (its a 6 minute train journey from surbiton to new malden) Researched the company and practiced my blurb about my work history - my skills, why i wanted the job etc etc

The interviewer should definitely not have said anything about "a very young team". That's completely contra to the Age Discrimination act. If you were a vindictive person, you could raise a storm about that....
