Men. Lads. Fellas.

Being terrified of asking out a girl is okay at 16. At 16, we're probably as big as you are, beat you at school sports last year and are smarter than you. So it's okay, really.
Scared at 16 = normal, seeing I was better at literature, art and that basic programming class than you were. I might even have been taller ( Read more... )

Awww... that's cool! You're sorta hawt too, but honest-to-goodness I'd snap you in half. No chick will admit this but I will: I'm currently on the hunt for a bit more of an insensitive neanderathal.

And yah, the excess is a bitch, hey? I remember when I stuffed my Falcon... money ow.

I think one complex that may have developed that is quite ironic is that the attractive smart and gentlemanly guys are aware that there is a big lump of creepy guys or guys who are assholes, who are brazen about asking women out and flirting with women and such, and they do not want to be mistaken for/socially associated with this group ( ... )

Hiya,

Nothing wrong with women asking men out, I've definitely done so in my time, that's how I acquired many boyfriends! I guess it's just when I KNOW a chap likes me but is a bit scared of looking silly, and sort of 'hangs out' with me just as a proximity safeguard.

I do agree that it is confusing for the 'advanced' fellas in this day and age. However, I still think, no matter what the gender, if you see someone you like, give it a try!
